    Jeannie Shiley, President & CEO, Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury, Winchester
    Jeannie has been with Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester, VA since 1999. She is a graduate of Sheperd College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Aging Services Professional. Jeannie is also a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Nursing Home Preceptor in the state of Virginia.

    Libby Bush, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, Vinson Hall, McLean
    In late 2017, Libby was named Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of Vinson Hall Retirement Community. Libby served as Chief Operating Office for Ingleside from 2016 to 2017, having been promoted from the position of more than two years as Executive Director of Westminster at Lake Ridge and having served more than 20 years with Life Plan Communities. As COO, Libby had operational responsibility for Westminster at Lake Ridge, Ingleside at King Farm, and Ingleside at Rock Creek. She holds as Masters Degree in Management of Aging Studies from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the College of Wooster.

    Sean Huyett, President & CEO, Westminster-Canterbury, Lynchburg
    Sean was appointed President and CEO in 2010. He began his career in 1994 working in for-profit nursing homes. Before coming to Westminster Canterbury, Sean was the Executive Director at Glenaire, a CCRC in Cary, North Carolina. Sean has a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration and a Master of Business Administration from James Madison University.

    Rodney Alderfer, President, Bridgewater Retirement Community, Bridgewater
    Rodney joined Bridgewater Retirement Community to serve as controller in 1998. He was promoted to Vice President of Health Services in 2005, serving in this position until 2008, when he was promoted to President of Bridgewater HealthCare, Inc.

    Marilyn Gray, Executive Director, WindsorMeade of Williamsburg, Williamsburg
    Marilyn joined WindsorMeade of Williamsburg in November 2008. Marilyn previously worked at The Chesapeake in Newport News, VA for 17 years and Harbor’s Edge in Norfolk for three years. Marilyn holds Virginia licenses as a Nursing Home Administrator and a Registered Nurse. She received a Bachelor’s in Science degree from Mountain State University. Marilyn has served on the Board of Directors for LeadingAge Virginia (previously VANHA) for 12 years. Most recently she served as the Chair of that Board for two years and now sits as the Past Chair. Marilyn has over 30 years of experience in the retirement industry.

    Mike Rowe, Executive Director, Patriots Colony, Williamsburg
    In 2015 Mike Rowe became the Executive Director of Patriots Colony, a Riverside Health System LifeCare retirement community in Williamsburg. His career in health care has spanned more than 30 years and included an early stint as a Captain in the Medical Services Corps of the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, Mike returned to school to earn an MHA in Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and the Medical College of Virginia, and he served in executive positions for health care organizations across the East Coast, from Florida to Maryland.

    Joan S. Thomas, Chief Clinical Officer for Behavioral Health, Director of Community Relations and Administrator, Birmingham Green
    Joan is responsible for the overall philosophy of behavioral healthcare that is provided across the campus of Birmingham Green. Since 2011 she has served as Administrator for the District Home Assisted Living. Joan holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from George Mason University. She holds an MBA from Jack Welch Management Institute, administered by Strayer University. Prior to her work with Birmingham Green she was with Kaiser Permanente.

    Courtney Nuzzo, Administrator, The Lewinsville
    Courtney assumed a leadership role with The Lewinsville in 2009. She is also an avid advocate for affordable housing in the Commonwealth at both the local and national levels. Prior to joining The Lewinsville, Courtney’s work experience included Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Dominion Psychiatric Hospital, and Goodwin House Alexandria. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Concord College, Master of Social Work from University of South Carolina. Executive Leadership Certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University, Management Business School and Larry Minnix Leadership Academy.

    John Burns, President & CEO, Westminster Canterbury Richmond
    John has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Westminster Canterbury Richmond since September 2015. Originally from southern California, John came to Westminster Canterbury Richmond from Presbytherian Homes in Evanston, Illinois, where he served as Chief Operating Officer for the multi-site system of three CCRCs, one independent living facility, one assisted living and three senior housing facilities. He was previously Vice President and Executive Director of Westminster Place of Presbyterian Homes. A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Business Administration, John received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He is a licensed nursing home administrator.

    Melissa Fortner, Executive Director, The Village at Orchard Ridge, Winchester
    Melissa was named Executive Director of The Village at Orchard Ridge in 2015. She was formerly Vice President of Supportive Living at the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC). She has over 20 years of experience in senior care management in both the long-term health care setting as well as retirement communities. Melissa has operated free-standing nursing centers and been on the senior leadership team of one of the nation’s largest CCRCs. She is a Fellow of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, a Certified Aging Services Professional, and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Her credentials include an MBA from Virginia Teach and a BS in Health Care Administration from East Tennessee State University.

    Heather Gearhart, Vice President of Health & Wellness, Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg
    Heather was named Vice President of Health & Wellness at Warm Hearth Village in 2016. She began her 20-year career at Warm Hearth Village in 1998, serving as Assistant Administrator and Administrator of both The Showalter Center and The Kroontje Health Care Center, as well as Director of Health & Wellness Services. Heather serves on the LeadingAge Virginia Dementia Care Cabinet, QA Chair of the Good Samaritan Hospice Board, an Alzheimer's Association Ambassador, and a member of the Gerontology Educational Mentor Society.  She is a Certified Assistant Housing Manager, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and a LeadingAge DC, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia LeadingAge Leadership Academy Fellow.

    Chris Henderson, President & CEO, Pinnacle Living
    Chris became President & CEO of Pinnacle Living, formerly Virginia United Methodist Homes (VUMH), in 2005. Since assuming this role, Pinnacle Living has successfully developed and opened a new CCRC in Williamsburg, Virginia and has broken ground on an $85 million repositioning of Cedarfield. Pinnacle Living is also working closely with Action Pact to create Health Care households and neighborhoods in all seven Pinnacle communities and opened their first health care households in Williamsburg in early 2018. Originally from western Pennsylvania, Chris is a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. He began working at Hermitage Northern Virginia in 1992 and became the Administrator in 1994. In 1997 Chris became Executive Director of Cedarfield. After the operations of Hermitage Richmond and Cedarfield were merged in 2003, Chris became the Executive Director of both Richmond communities.

    Greg Storer, President & CEO, Williamsburg Landing, Williamsburg
    Greg joined Williamsburg Landing in 2016 from Skilled Care Pharmacy, a privately held institutional pharmacy and one of the largest independent pharmacies in the Midwest, where he served as President. Prior to that, Greg served as Vice President of Operations and COO at Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network, a nationally-recognized leader in providing independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, adult day care and rehabilitation and in-home services. Earlier in his career, he was COO of Heather Hill Hospital, where he supervised a long-term acute care hospital, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, assisted living and residential care facilities. A native of Ohio, Greg attended Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Gerontology/Health Care Administration. He has served as a supervisor for the Commission on Accreditation and Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and a preceptor to more than 25 Administrators in Training (AITs), helping them become licensed Nursing Home Administrators. Greg also served on the LeadingAge Virginia's Middle Market Cabinet.
